Upcoming DH Conferences

Spring has arrived in Ireland and with it, a number of opportunities to attend Digital Humanities conferences throughout the British Isles.

  • The National University of Ireland, Galway will host the Digital Materials conference on 21-22 May, 2015. The conference will focus on the intersection of digital and material culture in the humanities. The plenary speakers are Jerome McGann (University of Virginia) and Matthew Kirschenbaum (University of Maryland).
  • On the 18th of June 2015, Kings College London will host its first Early Career Researcher Conference in Digital Arts and Humanities research. The conference’s theme will revolve around innovation and sustainability in Digital Arts and Humanities. The conference will be held at KCL’s Strand Campus.
  • Later in June, on the 25th and 26th (2015), the Digital Repository of Ireland will host the first Annual Conference on Digital Preservation for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (DPASSH 2015) at Dublin’s Croke Park Conference Centre. The two-day conference is titled “Shaping our Legacy: Safeguarding the Social and Cultural Record.”
  •  At the end of the summer, from 30th August to 2nd September 2015, the Digital Research in the Humanities and Arts conference will take place at Dublin City University. The deadline for proposals (for papers, workshops, panels, roundtables and more) is 1 May 2015.
