In May, DARIAH Ireland celebrated its launch with an event at Maynooth University. By all accounts, the launch event was a great success. Archived Twitter messages from the day are available in Storify format on this website.
The launch event included opening remarks from DARIAH Ireland’s National Coordinator Susan Schreibman, Maynooth University’s Vice President for Research Bernard Mahon, Irish Research Council Director Eucharia Meehan and DARIAH-EU Board Member Tobias Blanke. In addition to highlighting a diverse range of digital humanities research across Europe through a poster session, research slams, and a roundtable panel discussion, the event also featured a keynote speech by Jerome McGann.
