DARIAH-IE is the Irish node of the pan-European Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities, a research infrastructure that enhances and supports digitally enabled research and teaching across the Arts and Humanities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DARIAH-IE Mission:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Enhancing and supporting an ecosystem for digitally enabled research, teaching and practice across the Arts and Humanities in Ireland within the pan-European DARIAH infrastructure.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n DARIAH-IE Guiding Principles:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Partnership-Based Infrastructure Development<\/strong> Building on strategic partnerships with existing Irish institutions (universities, libraries, cultural heritage organisations) and European infrastructures DARIAH-IE will leverage shared resources and expertise whilst developing its organisational identity and research focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Open Research and Best Practice Advocacy<\/strong> Championing Open Research by advocating for the adoption of FAIR data principles and international standards within the Irish research community, DARIAH-IE will provide guidance, training, and policy development that prepares researchers for future digital infrastructure whilst improving current practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Knowledge Brokerage and Capacity Building<\/strong> Providing expertise in navigating existing European and international digital humanities resources through training and support to help researchers access external infrastructures effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Championing Digital Literacy<\/strong> Recognising that many Irish humanities scholars and arts practitioners may be at different stages of digital adoption DARIAH-IE aims to bridge this gap through training, advocacy, and collaborative projects that demonstrate the value of digital approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Community-First Approach<\/strong> By identifying and engaging with Irish arts and humanities research communities DARIAH-IE seeks to understand their specific needs and challenges, DARIAH-IE will work to build services around these requirements, ensuring genuine scholarly impact from the outset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trinity College Dublin holds the role of the National Coordinating Institution supporting the work of the National Coordinator, Professor Jennifer Edmond<\/strong>.
