{"id":1857,"date":"2026-06-10T10:19:46","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T09:19:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dariah.ie\/wordpress\/?p=1857"},"modified":"2026-06-08T10:23:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T09:23:13","slug":"survey-on-artistic-research-performance-teaching-and-publication-practices-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dariah.ie\/wordpress\/2026\/06\/survey-on-artistic-research-performance-teaching-and-publication-practices-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey on Artistic Research: Performance, Teaching and Publication Practices [Now open]"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Survey on Artistic Research: Performance, Teaching and Publication Practices<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How are artistic performance, artistic research, teaching and academic publications recognised and evaluated in higher music education today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers from Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University and E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University (Hungary) are conducting an international survey examining careers, working conditions and evaluation systems in Higher Music Education Institutions worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study explores:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 the balance between artistic activity, artistic research, teaching and scholarly publication;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 promotion and career pathways in conservatoires and university music departments;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 institutional expectations regarding research output;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 the recognition of artistic research within evaluation and promotion systems;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 challenges faced by academic and artistic staff in different national contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are particularly interested in understanding how institutions evaluate publications in relation to artistic practice and artistic research, and how these expectations influence professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We warmly invite academic staff, artistic researchers, performers, teachers, administrators and doctoral candidates working in higher music education to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The questionnaire is anonymous and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Survey link:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/elteppk.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_37pAuHb2hKyVDFQ\">https:\/\/elteppk.eu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_37pAuHb2hKyVDFQ<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your contribution will help provide an international overview of current practices and support evidence-based discussions on the future of evaluation systems in higher music education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Survey on Artistic Research: Performance, Teaching and Publication Practices How are artistic performance, artistic research, teaching and academic publications recognised and evaluated in higher music education today?
