The UK-IE DHA Digital Correspondence Community Interest Group, warmly invite you to register and submit proposals for an upcoming free online event on Immigrant and Emigrant Correspondence.

- Audience: Historians, linguists, digital humanities researchers, educators, GLAM practitioners, and postgraduate students.
About the Event:
This workshop brings together perspectives on personal correspondence written by or about migrants. We welcome explorations across all time periods and media—ranging from historical physical letters and dispatches to contemporary digital messaging and email.
Possible research areas include (but are not limited to):
- Historical sociolinguistics, pragmatics, and discourse analysis
- History ‘from below’ and oral history in written contexts
- Preservation of linguistic heritage and digital archiving
- Stance, positioning, identity, and emotion in migrant letters
Call for Papers (5–15 Minute Talks):
They invite short presentations on either works-in-progress or completed studies.
